HOUSTON 7, ATLANTA 6

Pinch-hitter Mitch Meluskey's three-run triple in the top of the ninth inning broke a tie and lifted the Houston Astros to a 7-6 victory over the Atlanta Braves in Orlando, Florida.

Meluskey's hit off Adam Butler snapped a 4-4 tie. Pedro Borbon, pitching for the first time since April 22nd, 1996 due to a torn medial collateral ligament in his left elbow, was the loser but was let down by his defense, which committed two errors in the frame, making all of the runs unearned.

The winner was Roberto Rivera, who got all three outs in the eighth. Jose Cabrera allowed two runs in the ninth, but got credit for the save as Houston improved to 2-0 in spring play.

Atlanta starter Tom Glavine pitched two scoreless innings, allowing one hit. Moises Alou was 3-for-3 with two runs scored for the Astros. Chipper Jones drove in two runs for the Braves.
