HOUSTON 8, NY YANKEES 7

Moises Alou, Jack Howell and Dave Clark all homered as the Houston Astros remained unbeaten in spring training by holding off the New York Yankees, 8-7, in Kissimmee, Florida.

Alou hit a solo shot off Luis DeLosSantos in a two-run second inning that tied the game. After the Yankees took a 4-3 lead, Howell gave the Astros the lead for good with a two-run shot in the sixth off loser Joey Eischen.

Eischen allowed two more runs in the seventh and Clark connected off Katsuhiro Maeda for a solo shot in the eighth, making it 8-4.

Reliever Bob Milacki got the win with two scoreless innings. The Yankees scored three times in the ninth, two on a pinch single by Shane Spencer.

Tim Raines and Ivan Cruz homered for the Yankees, who had 11 hits but made four errors.
